2021 GHMA Season Underway!

I’d like to reminder everyone to take the time to properly fill out scorecards. If you are a returning member, I need at the minimum a Last Name, First Initial and the Tee box used if other than White. Newer members, and those with similar names please also include GHIN number. All cards need to be dated, signed and most importantly legible. If I can’t read the name or numbers it may not get posted. Thanks for your help with this, all scorecards we receive will get posted to GHIN through Golf Genius.

This weeks tournament is Individual Stroke Play or ISP for short. Play at your leisure between May 5th and May 9th. Scorecards must be signed, attested and returned to the Pro-shop post round for official scoring. Golf Genius will post your score directly to your GHIN. Members age 65 and over may play from Green tees. All other members may choose to play White or Blue tees. Please note on scorecard tees played, last name and GHIN number. The scorecard you turn into the Pro-shop serves as your registration.

The course would also like to reminder preferred tee time members to book times a full week in advance. Only preferred tee time members will be guaranteed times on weekend mornings. The course is very busy and the demand for weekend tee times and the lack of carts available has caused the enforcement of this policy. If you do not pay for preferred tee time and like playing early and Saturday or Sunday please consider upgrading. Late Winter Update

Last Days of Winter, Spring is Here !!!

I would like to begin by thanking all of you that have already turned in your application for this season. We have had several inquiries and with the help of the new website our associations membership looks to grow for a 3^rd straight year.

Starting March 27^th + 28^th the GHMA will run pre-season tournaments to kick off the season. These tournaments will run on Saturday and Sunday every week until Opening Day on May 2^nd. All past & present members will be eligible to play, we will also allow public to compete. The entry fee for preseason events will be $10. The course is expecting to experience a high volume of play in the early part of the season, especially once carts are allowed. Contact Ken Gemmell at 203-795-1422 to book a tee time for these pre-season weekends.

For those who haven’t yet turned in an application yet please do so before April 12^th. This gives us the time needed to enroll everyone in GHIN and Golf Genius so we are ready for Opening Day. Opening Day Registration will begin on April 17^th with registration information being sent out to those that have paid in full for 2021. Opening Day festivities are still being planned as well as a post tournament gathering to serve as replacement for the cancellation of lasts years banquet. Opening Day and banquet are both weather pending, rain date is currently set for May 16^th.

Digital Profile Walkthrough

Golf Season is approaching fast, stay in the loop by creating a GHIN Digital Profile. This is a requirement for 2021 and provides the user the ability to update their contact information. The profile also displays a robust dashboard of the golfers handicap history, playing statistics and rounds played.
All golfers who had an active GHIN membership last year should of received an email with a link to create a password.

GHIN Digital Profile Requirements

You may be aware that an email was sent from GHINProfile@USGA.org to all golfers with a valid email address associated with their GHIN record asking them to click on a link to set a password. Users of the GHIN Mobile App and GHIN.com are required to have a unique email address associated with their GHIN record to complete this action and continue to login to those services.
